Compensation : $100,000 - $125,000

Your Impact as Controller
As the Controller, you will take ownership of all core accounting and financial operations for both businesses while preparing to ultimately move into the CFO role. You will :
Oversee the accounting function, reporting, budgeting, and cash management
Manage tax filings, insurance, banking, and external relationships
Lead month-end, year-end, and audit support processes
Build and mentor the accounting team (1 direct report initially, growing to 4-5 as the company expands)
Partner closely with the CEO and leadership on strategy and long-term planning
Improve processes, internal controls, and reporting accuracy
Support the integration of financial operations across both companies
Serve as the financial go-to for executives, operations, and vendors
This role reports directly to the CEO, then transitions into overseeing the entire finance function.
What the Company Is Looking For
Required :
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
Florida CPA strongly preferred
5-10+ years of progressive accounting experience
Public accounting foundation (Big 4, regional, or strong local firm) is ideal
Experience with tax, insurance, banking, and audit
Hands-on leadership style and the ability to "build as you go"
Someone who thrives in a small-company environment with high visibility
Local to Central Florida (Sanford preferred)
Preferred :
Local candidates with roots in the area
Prior Controller or Accounting Manager experience
Experience in a family-owned or founder-led business
Ability to work fully onsite in a collaborative, energetic office
