Our goal is to provide superior, competitively priced roofing solutions while offering meaningful work and advancement opportunities for our employees.   We are seeking an Accounting Manager for our Portland, OR office.   The Accounting Manager assists the President in driving business results.  Responsible for the planning and control of financial activities.  Provides guidance and support to operational teams.  This position reports to the Operating Unit President and Regional Controller.    Primary Responsibilities :

• Supervises accounting and administrative personnel.
• Prepares work in progress reports and attends operations meetings.
• Monitors project work in progress schedules and confers with estimators and project team members on changes and adjustments to cost estimates.
• Manages project financials to include contract values, change orders, customer invoicing (some AIA), lien releases, and retention.
• Prepares monthly financial statements.
• Balances intercompany accounts with Corporate / Operating Units
• Performs balance sheet account reconciliations.
• Prepares sales and use tax returns.
• Oversees payroll.
• Oversees payroll tax reports.
• Backup for human resources issues.
• Oversee physical inventories.
• Handles the reporting for the annual insurance renewal and audit.
• Handles all applicable tax reporting to the corporate office.
