St. Luke's University Health Network, the region's largest, most established health system, a major teaching hospital, and one of the nation's 100 Top Hospitals is seeking a BC / BE Interventional Cardiologist to help expand our cardiology services to our hospital in Monroe County, PA.

Our hospital boasts state-of-the-art technology along with strong support from our primary care physicians already established in the county. Join a well-established group of over 50 cardiologists. We have 21 offices and 7 free-standing Heart and Vascular Centers. We are looking for a second interventional cardiologist for our Monroe Campus. High volume to be shared with current interventional cardiologist and 1 : 4 interventional call. The ideal candidate will possess strong interventional skills as well as a willingness to expand our existing base of cardiology patients.

St. Luke's is a 12 hospital system with a fully accredited Level 1 trauma center, STS 3 star cardiac surgery program, structural heart, destination LVAD and full service EPS program, cardiology fellowship program, oncology, neuroscience, orthopedics, high-risk pregnancy, robotic surgery, radiology (we are an international General Electric Show Site) and vascular disease.

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :

PHYSICAL AND SENSORY REQUIREMENTS :

Sitting for up to three (3) hours per day; three (3) hours a t a time. Standing for up to eight (8) hours per day; eight (8) hours at a time. Walking for up to six (6) hours per day; one (1) hour at a time. Frequent fingering, handling, grasping, twisting, and turning as it relates to therapeutic procedures. Consistently lift, carry, and push objects up to 10 pounds. Occasionally lift, carry, and push objects up to 75 pounds. Rarely lifting with assistance, up to 100 pounds. Rarely pushing and pulling patients weighing up to 300 pounds in a wheel chair or stretcher. Occasionally stooping and bending. Must be able to perceive attributes of an object through touch. Seeing as it relates to normal near, far, color, and peripheral vision. Hearing as it relates to normal conversation and high and low frequencies.

EDUCATION : Graduate of an accredited medical school and completion of residency and / or fellowship in area of specialty.

TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE : Current or recent experience in area of specialty.

LICENSE AND CERTIFICATIONS : MD or DO - licensed by the state licensure board within the State of practice. Board Certified / Eligible in the area of specialty by the appropriate medical board.
