About The Position

Job Title : CVOR Tech

Profession : Surgical Technologist

Specialty : Cardiac, Thoracic, and Vascular

Duration : 13 weeks

Shift : 8 hours

Hours per Shift : 6 : 00 AM - 7 : 30 PM

Experience : Minimum 2 years recent scrub experience in complex cases

License : State license required

Certifications : BLS (must be AHA), CST required

Must-Have :

• Adult scrub experience required
• Pediatric scrub experience is a plus
• Strong multitasking and critical thinking skills

Description :

VA license is required at the time of submission, no exceptions.

Must commit to required summer holiday (Memorial Day, 4th of July, or Labor Day) and winter holiday (Thanksgiving or Christmas) based on departmental needs.

Any requested time off must be added to the end of the contract for a full 13 working weeks.

Experience must include scrub duties in complex cardiac, thoracic, and vascular cases such as Coronary Artery Bypass, Ascending Aortic Aneurysms, Valve Repair and Replacement, Structural Heart Procedures, Thoracic Organ Transplant, ECMO, Ventricular Assist Devices, redo, and emergent cases.

Excellent communication skills and teamwork are essential.

Participation in the professional activities of the department is expected.

Call is required approximately 1-2 weekdays per week and 1 weekend per month.
