Pharmacist ($57 / hour)
This position supports the Utilization Management (UM) workflows by providing administrative support and customer service. This position acts as a resource for both internal and external customers through completing timely and accurate inbound and / or outbound calls, creating authorizations via phone, Care Advance Provider Tool, and fax for inpatient and outpatient procedures, behavioral health, and durable medical equipment.
This role can be worked remotely, but candidates must be currently residing in Massachusetts in order to be considered.
Roles and Responsibilities :
- Provide a variety of reception services for clients, patients, and visitors
- Maintaining a customer service attitude to ensure patient satisfaction
- Schedule appointments for client / patient care including all follow-up appointments
- Generate patient referrals to medical specialists as ordered
- Assist patients with identifying appropriate pharmaceutical industry patient assistance programs for medications. Collaborates with patients to prepare and submit applications as appropriate
Qualifications :
Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) requiredAt least 2 years of experience working in a pharmacyMust be currently residing in MassachusettsProficiency in handling sensitive and confidential information with tact, professionalism, and impartiality.Active demonstration of a broad knowledge base and positive work habits as evidenced by the ability to train new staff, take on new challenges, flexibility in work assignments, and participation in meetings and projects as assignedDemonstrated organizational skills to manage multiple projects and priorities
