Registered Nurse (RN) Wound Care

Location : Brooklyn NY 11203

Duration : 13 Weeks

Schedule : 40 hours per week 8 : 00 AM 4 : 30 PM

Pay Rate : $2800 $3000 per week (Local Contract)

Position Summary

Navitas Healthcare LLC is seeking Registered Nurse (RN) Wound Care for an exciting job in Brooklyn NY.

Responsibilities

Conduct focused health assessments and physical examinations related to wound ostomy and continence care.

Develop and implement individualized care plans based on diagnosis assessment and patient needs.

Administer appropriate wound care treatments medications and dressings.

Monitor and document patient progress evaluating treatment effectiveness and outcomes.

Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure coordinated and timely patient care.

Educate patients families and staff on wound prevention management and self-care techniques.

Participate in developing and updating wound care protocols standards and best practices.

Conduct training sessions for nursing staff including orientation and continuing education programs.

Perform comprehensive skin assessments and initiate pressure injury prevention strategies.

Support quality improvement initiatives including incidence and prevalence studies.

Maintain confidentiality and ensure adherence to all safety and compliance standards.

Manage and maintain specialized wound care equipment such as specialty beds and negative pressure devices.

Qualifications

Experience :

Minimum 2 years of experience in Medical-Surgical Nursing.

Prior experience in wound ostomy or colostomy care.

Education :

Associates Degree in Nursing (ASN or ADN) from an accredited nursing program.

Licensure & Certifications :

Active and valid New York State RN License .

AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification.

At least one of the following wound care certifications :

Certified Wound Ostomy Continence Nurse ( CWOCN ) WOCNCB

Certified Wound Ostomy Nurse ( CWON ) WOCNCB

Certified Wound Care Nurse ( CWCN ) WOCNCB

Certified Wound Specialist ( CWS ) ABWM

Wound Care Certified ( WCC ) NAWCO
