About the Logistics Team

The Logistics team at Whatnot handles all aspects of shipping for our global sellers and buyers, including carrier integrations, providing tools for quick and efficient shipping, enabling new business opportunities, and ensuring accurate tracking. Logistics is fundamental to our business growth and offers exciting ways to enhance the shipping experience for our users.

In this role, you will build systems and features to support our rapid growth, including implementing a robust carrier-first architecture designed for massive scale and international reach.

Team members in this role should be within commuting distance of our hubs in Los Angeles, San Francisco, Seattle, or New York.

Role : Backend Engineer

Requirements :

• 5+ years of software engineering experience
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, a related field, or equivalent work experience
• Strong product instincts focused on user needs
• Ability to mentor and foster inclusive, supportive teams
• Ownership mentality—capable of managing projects from start to finish
• Proven track record of shipping features rapidly
• Excellent problem-solving skills and independence
• Willingness to do frontend work when needed
• Quick learner of new technologies
• Experience with payment systems, infrastructure, and international commerce (preferred)
• Start-up experience at a high-growth company (preferred)

Salary : $190,000 / year to $260,000 / year + benefits + equity. Final salary depends on experience, skills, and level.
