Position Summary :

The Foreperson Container Tree Production is responsible for directing and supervising container tree department employees and crews while completing activities related to container tree production. This role reports to the Container Production Manager, and works closely with the other container forepersons, assistant forepersons, crew leaders, and nursery workers in the department to achieve production goals while maintaining Bailey quality standards and safety compliance. In addition, this position will work closely with plant health, inventory, shop, propagation, bareroot production / storage, and office staff.

Physical Requirements and Work Environment :

This position requires frequent standing, walking, bending, stooping, kneeling, and crouching. The employee must regularly lift, carry, push, or pull objects up to 50 pounds and occasionally up to 75 pounds with assistance. Work is performed both indoors and outdoors, with exposure to weather conditions such as heat, cold, rain, and wind. PPE may be required in certain work areas.
