Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1+ year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A K-12 school located in Soledad, CA, is seeking a substitute Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) to provide support when one of the two full-time SLPAs is absent. This contract position offers the possibility of transitioning into a full-time role depending on future needs.
Key Responsibilities :
- Assist speech-language pathologists in delivering therapy services to students with speech, language, and communication challenges.
- Support the implementation of individualized treatment plans under the supervision of a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP).
- Monitor student progress and maintain accurate, confidential records of therapy sessions.
- Collaborate effectively with school staff to promote student success and integrate speech therapy goals into the school environment.
- Demonstrate flexibility to step in as needed during SLPA absences.
Qualifications and Desired Experience :
Certification as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) recognized by appropriate licensing bodies.Previous experience working in educational settings supporting K-12 students is preferred.Strong understanding of speech, language, and hearing development in children.Ability to follow treatment protocols and adapt to the needs of diverse learners.Professional communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with educational teams.Benefits :
