Payroll Tax Associate
Join our dynamic team as a Payroll Tax Associate, where you will be responsible for managing payroll processes for various clients, ensuring compliance with all payroll regulations, and providing exceptional client support. Responsibilities include processing weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly payroll for multiple clients, accurately calculating wages, deductions, garnishments, and benefits, ensuring full compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations, preparing and filing payroll tax documents, addressing payroll-related inquiries from clients, recording daily financial transactions and maintaining general ledger accuracy, reconciling bank accounts, credit card statements, and other financial records, managing journal entries, accounts payable, and accounts receivable, generating financial reports on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis, assisting accountants with year-end closing and tax preparation, communicating professionally and clearly with clients, supporting onboarding of new clients and setup of payroll / bookkeeping systems, and advising clients on best practices for maintaining financial records.
Essential Skills include experience with W-2 and 1099 forms, knowledge of payroll tax payments, proficiency in using payroll software / websites, and strong communication and organizational skills. Additional Skills & Qualifications include familiarity with sales tax, basic Excel skills, including formulas, experience with QuickBooks and Microsoft Office.
The position is a full-time role, Monday through Friday, from 8 AM to 5 PM. Work is conducted in a professional office setting, utilizing a variety of payroll and financial software.
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Evansville, IN. The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $28.00 / hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment. Benefits are subject to change and may be subject to specific elections, plan, or program terms.
