Employment & Labor Attorney Requirements & Qualifications :

J.D. from an accredited law school

Active member in good standing with the Texas Bar

3–4 years of experience practicing labor and employment law

Strong background in Texas employment litigation and employment counseling

Experience litigating matters in state and federal court

Working knowledge of federal and state employment statutes

Employment & Labor Attorney Must Haves :

Draft and respond to discovery, motions, and meet-and-confer correspondence

Conduct legal research and prepare pleadings, briefs, and dispositive motions

Represent clients in hearings, arbitrations, and court appearances

Defend against individual and class action wage and hour claims

Advise clients on compliance issues, workplace investigations, and policy development

Manage government responses and inquiries related to employment matters

Collaborate with cross-office teams to provide integrated legal solutions

Employment & Labor Attorney Preferred Background & Skills :

Trial experience or significant deposition and motion practice exposure

Experience drafting employee handbooks, employment manuals, and policy documents

Familiarity with class action and wage and hour litigation

Strong client relationship and communication skills

Ability to manage a high-volume caseload with precision and efficiency

Proactive, solution-oriented mindset with strong attention to detail

Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
