POSITION OVERVIEW :

The Regional Safety Manager is responsible for the leadership, coordination, and execution of health and safety programs across multiple operational sites within an assigned region. This role supports the organization's strategic safety goals by ensuring regulatory compliance, reducing risk, mentoring local SHE teams, and promoting a culture of continuous improvement. The Regional Safety Manager acts as a liaison between corporate leadership and site-level safety personnel, ensuring alignment in policy, training, and performance metrics.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES :

Implement and monitor regional EHS strategies aligned with corporate objectives and safety vision.

Provide leadership, coaching, and technical support to site-level safety managers and professionals.

Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, NFPA, ANSI, ISO 45001, and other applicable standards.

Conduct regional audits, inspections, and risk assessments to identify hazards and drive corrective actions.

Support and validate incident investigations and corrective action implementation.

Lead safety training and engagement programs across all sites within the region.

Track safety performance metrics and provide regular updates to senior leadership.

Support implementation of Process Safety Management (PSM) where applicable.

Coordinate emergency response planning and crisis management drills.

Drive best practice sharing across sites and foster consistency in safety program execution.

Serve as the primary regional contact for regulatory inspections and external safety stakeholders.

QUALIFICATIONS : EDUCATION :

Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, Industrial Engineering, or related field (required)

Master’s degree or advanced safety / management education (preferred)

CERTIFICATIONS :

Certified Safety Professional (CSP) – Required

Construction Health & Safety Technician (CHST) - Required

Occupational Health & Safety Technician (OHST) – Required (Manufacturing and Service Roles only)

OSHA 30-Hour Certification – Required

First Aid / CPR Certification – Required

Additional certifications such as ASP or CIH – a plus

EXPERIENCE :

Minimum 7–10 years of progressive EHS experience, with at least 3 years in a multi-site or regional management capacity

Strong knowledge of safety programs in industries such as manufacturing, construction, utilities, or services

Proven experience in training, audits, root cause analysis, and hazard control implementation

Experience implementing and supporting Process Safety Management (PSM) preferred – Manufacturing Roles

LEGAL & TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS :

Must have legal authorization to work in USA

Valid driver’s license and ability to travel regularly within the region (up to 50%)

WORK ENVIRONMENT :

Combination of office, site, and field settings

Must be capable of walking job sites, climbing stairs / ladders, and inspecting various work environments

PPE required in field settings
