Key Responsibilities :
Regularly assess and manage patient pain to ensure effective treatment.Follow physician orders for procedures and documentation needs, ensuring accuracy.Respond promptly to patient requests and anticipate their needs proactively.Educate patients and their families about medical conditions and treatment plans clearly and compassionately.Guide patients on lifestyle changes and self-management for optimal health post-discharge.Qualifications :
Must possess a valid Registered Nurse (RN) license.Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification within 30 days of employment.Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification within 6 months of employment.Emergency Nurse Pediatric Course (ENPC) certification within 1 year.Advanced Trauma Care for Nurses certification or equivalent within 1 year.NIH Stroke Scale certification within 60 days.Associate or Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing.St. David's North Austin Medical Center is a multi-specialty, acute care facility, with over 460 beds and numerous services including a 24-hour emergency department, pediatric emergency care, and advanced surgical options.
