Route Driver

Specific Job Responsibilities :

• Safely load, deliver and unload cylinders containing compressed gases and hard goods orders; return empty cylinders to branch or plant for refilling.
• Perform all required pre- and post-trip inspections per DOT regulations.
• Complete all FDA / DOT required documentation.
• Track delivery and pick-up of cylinders at customer sites using handheld device and complete all the required information / steps during the delivery and pick-up processes.
• Keep truck clean and in line with DOT standards.
• Communicate with supervisor on truck maintenance, customer-related issues, and delivery efficiencies.
• Establish and maintain good customer relations by communicating in person with customers.
• Identify and monitor customers' needs and work with them to maintain proper hard goods and cylinder levels to minimize or eliminate emergency deliveries.
• Operate a forklift, pallet jack and other warehouse equipment.
• Ensure all safety rules are strictly observed.
