• Our SMC Licensure / Certification requires an ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) certification, and unfortunately, the ARMRIT (American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologists) certification does not meet our current requirements.A technologist with an ARMRIT certification would meet the requirements if they also take and pass the ARRT boards for MR certification thus be certified as an ARRT (MR).Additionally, if the MRI candidate is certified with the ARRT in Radiology (R), or Computed Tomography (CT) they would need to have or acquire a Washington state license. There will be a change to this in that the State is working on requiring MRI technologists to have a Washington State license, however this has not been instituted at this time.License / Certification : &bull

State of Washington Certification as a Radiological Technologist required unless ARRT(MR) is achieved through the ARRT Primary Pathway.&bull

ARRT MRI Certification is preferred.&bull
