Job Title : CT Technologist Profession : CT Technologist Specialty : Computed Tomography Duration : 13 weeks Shift : Evening Shift Hours per Shift : 8 hours, 5 PM - 1 : 30 AM, every other weekend Experience : Minimum of 2 years of experience required License : Must hold a valid license in Diagnostic Radiologic Technology Certifications : - BLS - Certified CT Technologist - ARRT (CT) - Fluoroscopy - California City Fire & Life Safety Must-Have Skills : - One year of CT experience is required. - Experience in an emergency room or hospital setting is essential. - Trauma center experience is a plus. Description : Department includes CT and General Radiology. The department operates 2 CT scanners, 5 DR portables, 1 DR Radiology room, and OEC c-arms. CT imaging includes strokes, trauma scans, heads, and chest / abdomen / pelvis studies. X-ray imaging includes chest X-rays, extremity work, and c-arm cases. On average, the team performs approximately 100 exams per day. The department uses Merge PACS for imaging and Cerner for electronic medical records. Department specific equipment includes Siemens 128 slice scanners, Carestream portables, and DR rooms. There are designated team leads available during the day and evening shifts. Radiologists are available within the department during specified hours. No IV starts are required as nursing staff will handle this. Weekend work is a requirement. There are no holiday requirements. No call or standby requirements are in place. Scrub color / dress code includes blue scrubs for operating rooms and turquoise for the main department.
