Who We Are:

SiriusXM and its brands (Pandora, SiriusXM Media, AdsWizz, Simplecast, and SiriusXM Connect) are leading a new era of audio entertainment and services by delivering the most compelling subscription and ad-supported audio entertainment experience for listeners -- in the car, at home, and anywhere on the go with connected devices. Our vision is to shape the future of audio, where everyone can be effortlessly connected to the voices, stories and music they love wherever they are.

This is the place where a diverse group of emerging talent and legends alike come to share authentic and purposeful songs, stories, sounds and insights through some of the best programming and technology in the world. Our critically-acclaimed, industry-leading audio entertainment encompasses music, sports, comedy, news, talk, live events, and podcasting. No matter their individual role, each of our employees plays a vital part in bringing SiriusXM’s vision to life every day.

SiriusXM is the leading audio entertainment company in North America, and the premier programmer and platform for subscription and digital advertising-supported audio products. SiriusXM’s platforms collectively reach approximately 150 million listeners, the largest digital audio audience across paid and free tiers in North America, and deliver music, sports, talk, news, comedy, entertainment and podcasts. Pandora, a subsidiary of SiriusXM, is the largest ad-supported audio entertainment streaming service in the U.S. SiriusXM's subsidiaries Simplecast and AdsWizz make it a leader in podcast hosting, production, distribution, analytics and monetization. The Company’s advertising sales organization, which operates as SiriusXM Media, leverages its scale, cross-platform sales organization and ad tech capabilities to deliver results for audio creators and advertisers. SiriusXM, through SiriusXM Canada Holdings, Inc., also offers satellite radio and audio entertainment in Canada. In addition to its audio entertainment businesses, SiriusXM offers connected vehicle services to automakers.

Their role is critical in ensuring seamless coordination and communication across departments and with external parties. This supervisory role is essential for maintaining high standards of broadcast reliability and operational excellence. Supervisors and their teams are responsible for the proper content delivery of all Talk, Music News, and Sports play-by-play channels airing on our Sirius, XM and Web platforms.

What you’ll do:

  • Skilled at responding decisively and thoughtfully in high-pressure and/or time-sensitive scenarios.

  • Ability to execute Disaster Recovery (Business Continuity) sequence of events in relation to Broadcast Operations Center responsibilities.

  • Advanced understanding of advanced broadcast technologies including TS over IP.

  • Technical knowledge of satellite, ISDN, IP CODEC, TS over IP and other modern broadcast transmission technologies.

  • Thorough understanding of digital audio routing systems.

  • Demonstrate the ability to work independently and triage issues with minimal oversight.

  • Escalation of major incidents to appropriate groups and leaders.

  • Knowledge of audio production systems and digital audio storage.

  • Familiarity with broadcast automation systems.

  • Facilitate live studio show programming to air.

  • Interface with other departments such as Programming, Media Engineering and Uplink Control operations.

  • Collaborate with management to ensure consistent application of processes, procedures, and protocols across all locations, promoting a unified operating environment for all staff.

  • Assist in the development of operations documentation ensuring all processes and procedures are detailed to integrate any new systems, components, or broadcast requirements.

  • Utilize checklists and workflows the Operations Center technicians are responsible for fulfilling.

  • Oversee process adherence for groups involved with premiere live events.

  • Exceptional at managing tasks efficiently with close attention to detail.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

  • Positive attitude and strong work ethic.

  • Calm, collaborative, accountable and present work ethic.

  • Familiarity with Slack and Google Office suite (Docs, Sheets, Sites, Forms, Calendar, Drive & Slides).

  • Working knowledge of Lucid, Visio, CAD or other signal flow software is a plus.

  • Work in our 24/7/365 operations centers to ensure proper delivery and support of all Talk, Music News, and Sports play-by-play programming.

What you’ll need:

  • 3 or more years’ experience in operations or master control supervision at a major market Operations Center facility or broadcast network.

  • Experience in technical operation and an ability to interface with non-technical operators.

  • Familiarity with SMPTE ST 2110

  • Equivalent combination of education and experience preferred

  • Must have legal right to work in the U.S.

At SiriusXM, we carefully consider a wide range of factors when determining compensation, including your background and experience. These considerations can cause your compensation to vary.
