Job Description

Join our team as a 2nd shift Automation / Controls Technician. As an integral part of our automation team, you will ensure the smooth operation of our equipment, working closely with Automation Engineers to troubleshoot, debug, and program automated equipment.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Automation Engineers to maintain and improve existing equipment.
• Serve as a technical expert for electrical circuits, program logic controls, and automation systems.
• Develop and maintain effective maintenance specifications and preventative maintenance programs.
• Participate in the design of automated machines, systems, and fixtures.
• Recommend improvements for equipment and manufacturing methods.
• Assist maintenance personnel with diagnosing software and electrical system problems.
• Support maintenance with equipment repairs in case of failures.
• Coordinate with production, maintenance, and engineering teams to optimize equipment performance.
• Assist with executing Engineering Change Requests (ECR) for equipment changes.
• Be flexible for off-shift availability and representation.

Work Environment

Work at our newly renovated plant, transitioning equipment from Oklahoma to Michigan. The facility includes new electrical systems, CNC machinist lines, conveyors, and robotic weld cells. Initially train on 1st shift (7am - 3pm) for 2-4 weeks before moving to 2nd shift (2 : 30pm - 11pm). Benefit from a 50-cent shift premium for off shifts and potential overtime as production lines are set up.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Warren, Michigan.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $35.00 / hr.
