Lead Software Engineer, CoCounsel AI Assistant

Thomson Reuters is seeking a Lead Software Engineer CoCounsel AI Assistant who will lead multiple and / or significant projects programs and business initiatives demonstrating creativity and ingenuity. This role will require someone who delivers end-to-end technical solutions and solves complex problems that may be ambiguous in nature.

About the Role

In this role Lead Software Engineer you will :

• Build user-facing features which drive the CoCounsel chat application and platform capabilities to enable partners from around the company to reach our customers.
• Develop delightful application code easy-to-use framework and component libraries and push our team to be efficient productive and nimble in a fast-moving field.
• Bring deep expertise in backend engineering while thoughtfully considering frontend and platform implications especially as evolving LLM capabilities (e.g. real-time streaming) require coordinated changes across the stack from efficient server-side delivery to responsive client rendering.
• This is an IC leadership role. We expect technical expertise but also excellent interpersonal and communication skills whether among peer engineers on the team or stakeholders and other leaders around the company.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues up and down the technical stack.
