Job Summary and Qualifications
The Acute Care Registered Nurse is responsible for delivering high-quality, patient-centered care in collaboration with medical providers. You will provide pre-operative and post-operative nursing care while serving as an advocate for patients to enhance their healthcare experience.
Key Responsibilities :
Conduct thorough assessments of patients upon admission and throughout your shift, noting any changes to their condition.Implement and perform procedures as ordered by the medical provider.Document all care administered in the patient's medical record promptly and accurately.Administer prescribed medications and monitor patient responses.Stay informed about medications, procedures, and equipment relevant to cardiac and medical-surgical patients.Qualifications :
Required Experience : 1 year of RN experience.Preferred Experience : Previous experience in a hospital or critical care setting.Required Education : Bachelor of Science in Nursing, or commitment to obtain a BSN within 5 years of hire.Preferred Education : Master’s Degree in Nursing.Required Licensure : Must hold current relevant licensure from the North Carolina Board of Nursing.Required Certifications : Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS).Blue Ridge Regional Hospital is a leading community hospital dedicated to serving Mitchell, Yancey, lower Avery, and upper McDowell counties.
