About This Job : The Occupational Therapist provides essential evaluation and treatment services within homecare settings in compliance with state regulations and agency standards.
Key Responsibilities :
- Conduct thorough assessments of patients, documenting their responses and measurable progress towards goals.
- Revise care plans based on patient feedback and progress, ensuring necessary modifications are made to optimize outcomes.
- Develop and implement personalized teaching plans for patients and their families, respecting their knowledge and available resources.
- Communicate effectively and respectfully with patients, families, and the healthcare team, establishing a consistent visit schedule.
- Contribute to departmental and organizational goals by adhering to policies, procedures, and safety standards, while completing required training.
- Demonstrate leadership skills in case management and participate in interdisciplinary team efforts to enhance patient care.
- Utilize various assessment tools and techniques to evaluate patient conditions, ensuring comprehensive treatment plans are followed.
- Independently organize and manage a diverse caseload, completing documentation accurately and promptly.
- Engage in case conferences, fostering collaboration among all healthcare disciplines, patients, and families.
- Build and maintain positive relationships with other departments, taking part in quality improvement initiatives and community outreach.
- Assess patient needs effectively and recommend adaptive equipment or modifications to support their rehabilitation journey.
- Perform a range of therapeutic procedures, including exercise regimens, mobility training, and other modalities to promote patient recovery.
Minimum Qualifications :
Education : Master's degree from an ACOTE accredited program in Occupational Therapy.Experience : 1-2 years of clinical experience required.Licenses and Certifications : Current Occupational Therapist license for Maryland, Virginia, or DC; valid state driver’s license; CPR certification within 90 days of hire.Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities :
Strong clinical skills and knowledge of best practices in occupational therapy.Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.Basic computer skills and smartphone proficiency are preferred.This position offers a competitive salary range of USD $74,214.00 - USD $134,596.00 per year.
