Job description

A hospital in Boston, Massachusetts, has an opening for a Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner to provide locum coverage.

Target Start Date

2 / 12 / 2024

Target End Date

4 / 30 / 2024

Opening Highlights :

Schedule : 8a-4p, Monday-Friday
No call
Patient Ages : 18+
Daily Volume : 7-10 patients
Support Staff : Residents, psychology, RN, mental health worker, SW, OT
EMR : Epic
Board certification required
Paid travel & expenses

QUALIFICATIONS

Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification

Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)

National Institutes of Health (NIH)

Sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology.

Active unencumbered Nurse Practitioner Massachusetts state license

Graduate from a fully accredited NP program

One year of work experience as Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner

One year of Epic experience

Board Certified

SKILLS / ABILITIES / COMPETENCIES REQUIRED :

Maintains and updates clinical knowledge and skills.

Participates in relevant continuing education programs.

Knowledge of and dedication to the highest patient care and provide the utmost service excellence to all patients.

Ability to take initiative and to exercise independent judgment, decision-making and problem-solving expertise.

A can-do, team oriented attitude is essential, as the ability to work independently and to interact easily with physicians, other managers and staff throughout the department and hospital.

Effective interpersonal / communication, organizational, and the flexibility to handle multiple tasks.

Requirements :

COVID vaccine with 2 Shots & Booster.
