Brown Brothers Harriman & Co. ("BBH") is seeking to hire an Associate to join the BBH Capital Partners Private Equity ("BBHCP PE") team. The BBHCP Private Equity group operates as part of Brown Brothers Harriman & Co., the oldest private bank in the U.S. The Private Equity group is coordinated out of BBH's New York office, where this position will be based.
BBH Capital Partners Private Equity makes both control and structured minority equity investments primarily in owner-operated, growing, middle-market companies. BBHCP PE is currently investing out of Capital Partners VII ("CPVII"), a fund with approximately $1.2B of committed capital. BBHCP PE seeks to be a value-added partner to portfolio company management teams, leveraging the expertise and resources of the team and the broader BBH network to deliver successful investment outcomes. BBHCP PE currently oversees 18 portfolio companies and has consistently delivered strong investment performance throughout its history.
BBHCP PE is a tight-knit team that operates with a collaborative culture. Every professional in BBHCP PE works on new investment opportunities, new and ongoing initiatives with portfolio companies, and internal PE efforts including sourcing, thesis development, and fund performance and valuation reporting.
BBHCP PE Associates are actively involved in all aspects of the investment process, including investment thesis development, sourcing, diligence, structuring and deal execution, portfolio monitoring and support, and exit.

In BBH's consensus-driven culture, Associates are also often asked to present findings and perspectives to the broader BBHCP PE team and interact directly with management teams at prospects and portfolio companies.
BBHCP is seeking candidates with 2-3 years of Investment Banking, Private Equity, or other M&A related finance experience, in addition to : outstanding academic credentials, ability to successfully multi-task, ability to work well in teams, and outstanding written and spoken communication skills.
$100,000-$140,000 base salary + annual target bonus
BBH's compensation program includes base salary, discretionary bonuses, and profit-sharing.
