Travel Nurse Job Details

Assignment Type : Travel Nursing

Location : Florence, SC 29505 (South Carolina healthcare jobs)

Unit : Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU)

Start Date : November 17, 2025

End Date : February 16, 2026

Duration : 13-week contract

Shift : 3x12-hour day shifts (7 : 00 AM – 7 : 00 PM), including holiday rotation and every other weekend

Hours per Week : 36

Estimated Weekly Salary Range : $1570 - $1680

Patient Ratio : 1 : 2

Charting System : Epic EMR

Scrub Color : Royal Blue

Parking : Free on-site parking

CVICU RN Qualifications

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in South Carolina or Compact State (must be in hand before start date)

Minimum 1 year of recent CVICU RN experience in a hospital setting

Previous travel nursing experience required

Certifications : ACLS, BLS, NIHSS (American Heart Association preferred)

Strong cardiac nursing experience required

Experience with Epic charting system preferred

Ability to float to critical care and intermediate step-down units as needed

Flu vaccine required (medical / religious exemptions considered)

Registered Nurse Responsibilities

Deliver high-quality, compassionate nursing care to adult and geriatric patients in the Cardiovascular ICU

Monitor and manage patients with complex cardiovascular conditions, including post-open heart surgery cases

Operate and manage advanced medical equipment : chest tubes, IABP, Impella, CRRT, temporary pacers, Swan Ganz catheters, and cardiac output monitors

Administer medications, titrate cardiac and vasoactive drips, and manage ventilators

Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams, including respiratory therapists and phlebotomists

Maintain accurate and timely documentation using Epic EMR

Participate in scheduled holiday and weekend rotations

Adhere to all hospital policies, including emergency response protocols during hurricane season (June–November)
