Position : Production Operator
Pay Rate : $21.50 / hr on W2
Location : Indianapolis IN
Description :
Major Position Activities & Responsibilities :
- Take lead role in sterilization, stock / replenish supplies, equipment set up, and all related packaging operations.
- Execute packaging and inspection processes using batch records and SOPs.
- Responsible for verifying the calibration of scales and identification of supplies to assigned project lot.
- Inspect product for content / potency in the manufacturing area procedures. Assigned job duties will include Component Preparation, Capping, Inspection, and Packaging.
- Learn the fundamentals necessary to work in the Capping and Packaging Operations. This will include the ability to perform the tasks within each operation.
- Operate various equipment as assigned.
- Ability to perform tasks with minimal supervision direction.
- Report to and follow direction of Supervisor or PT3 technicians.
- Perform other tasks in the absence of supervisor or PT3 technicians.
- Responsible for proper disposal of hazardous chemicals.
- Perform all other duties as assigned.
Background Qualifications :
High school diploma or the equivalent. College course work preferred.Two or more years of aseptic manufacturing experience in a cGMP pharmaceutical manufacturing facility.Must possess working knowledge and understanding of GMP compliance regulations.Must be able to communicate effectively (both oral and written) using proper tone and verbal form.Must possess a strong desire and willingness to continue to broaden knowledge and develop professionally.While performing the duties of the job, the employee is regularly required to use their hands and arms to handle or move objects and perform fine motor manipulation. The employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, and stoop. The employee must occasionally lift and / or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision ability required by this job includes close vision, color vision, and depth perception.Work involves exposure to hazardous chemicals, moving mechanical parts, and preheated areas. Must comply with GMP compliance documentation as well as Standard Operating Procedures.Computer skills in Microsoft Office such as Word and Excel are a plus.
