As a Certified Pharmacy Specialist, your role will be pivotal in assisting the pharmacist under their direct oversight in the practice of pharmacy while ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations. You will play a key role in enhancing the pharmacy department by performing a variety of essential tasks which contribute to effective operations and exceptional customer service.
Key Responsibilities :
- Customer Experience : Engage warmly with customers and patients, offering assistance with products and services. Resolve any issues to create a positive atmosphere.
- Operations Support : Under the pharmacist's supervision, enter and verify patient and drug information using pharmacy systems, fill prescriptions accurately, and ensure a smooth workflow.
- Error Management : Report any prescription errors immediately and follow company policies related to pharmacy errors.
- Sales Processing : Handle all register tasks including managing cash and assisting customers with products, especially in the OTC aisle.
- Inventory Management : Assist with ordering, checking, and storing shipments of pharmaceuticals while maintaining company asset protection techniques.
- Clinical Services Support : May assist the pharmacist in critical clinical tasks including sample collection and coordination of services with healthcare providers.
- Community Relations : Support relationship-building efforts with local healthcare professionals and groups to enhance community engagement.
- Department Maintenance : Ensure a clean and well-organized pharmacy environment stocked with necessary supplies.
- Training and Development : Maintain PTCB certification and pursue ongoing training for personal growth and skill enhancement.
Qualifications :
Fluency in reading, writing, and speaking English is essential.Flexibility to work shifts that include evenings and weekends.Experience in retail, preferably in a pharmacy setting.Strong math and computer skills are preferred.Awareness of inventory control practices and a commitment to excellence in customer service are advantageous.This position offers a competitive hourly wage ranging from $17.50 to $21, depending on experience and qualifications.
