About the Role
The Company is in search of a General Counsel to join their team. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading all legal, compliance, and regulatory matters, providing proactive and business-centered legal guidance. This includes directing and participating in contract negotiations, overseeing legal issues related to employment, corporate governance, and various compliance areas. The General Counsel will also serve as a strategic advisor to the executive team, ensuring multi-state compliance and shaping the legal foundation of the organization. Applicants must have a JD degree from an ABA-accredited law school, an active license to practice law, and a minimum of 10 years' of experience in a legal / General Counsel role within the staffing industry. The role requires expertise in employment law, labor regulations, and contract negotiations, as well as a proven track record in managing multi-state legal compliance for a large workforce. The ideal candidate will have exceptional communication, negotiation, and drafting skills, and the ability to balance legal risk with business goals. Responsibilities also include maintaining relationships with external legal counsel, consulting on business insurance claims, and ensuring compliance with OSHA requirements.
