RN Supervisor - Skilled Nursing Home

Recruit Secure is collaborating with a very stable and successful Skilled Nursing Facility in the Rochester, NY area that is looking for an experienced and dynamic RN Supervisor to join their team. The shift is 7 : 00 a.m. - 3 : 00 p.m . (other shifts are also available). The RN Supervisor will be responsible for maintaining and scheduling staff, overseeing quality patient care, ensuring adherence to established policies / procedures, and monitoring staff activities. Responsibilities :

• Assist the Director of Nursing (DON) and the Associate Director of Nursing (ADON) in planning, directing, and evaluating the Nursing Department.
• Ensure that a sufficient number of nursing staff are available for each shift to ensure that quality care is maintained
• Participate in DOH surveys (inspections).
• Assure that DOH regulations and compliance standards are met
• Participate in developing, implementing, and updating the care plan (and discharge plans) for each resident
• Assure that employee and company policies and procedures are followed
• Mentor, advise and teach less experienced nurses, offering clinical advice
• Address questions and / or complaints brought forward by patients and / or their families.
• Requirements :
• BSN degree - preferred but not mandatory
• Active NY RN license
• At least 2 years of experience within an LTC / Skilled Nursing Facility (a must!)
• At least 2 years of Supervisory experience
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
