Systems Administrator Linux (Red Hat Enterprise Linux)

Position Summary :

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Systems Administrator Linux (Red Hat Enterprise Linux) to support a mission-critical federal program. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in Red Hat Enterprise Linux, scripting, automation, and networking, and will play a key role in designing, implementing, maintaining, and optimizing Linux environments.

Key Responsibilities :

• Design, implement, maintain, and troubleshoot Red Hat Enterprise Linux Server environments (v8v9).
• Develop and maintain advanced automation scripts using BASH, Perl, JavaScript, or Python.
• Perform administration and O&M tasks from the command line.
• Manage task automation using tools like Ansible and RHEL Satellite.
• Handle package management across geographically dispersed environments.
• Configure and manage NFTables, Firewalls, IPTables, ISC2 BIND DNS, TCP / IP, IPv4 / IPv6, Postfix / SMTP Relay.
• Administer Linux Server Clustering, NFSv3 / NFSv4, PXE boot, and SELinux.
• Support Mirantis Container Runtime (formerly Docker), AWS, and GitLab.
• Maintain detailed documentation for system designs, configurations, processes, and service records.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support IT infrastructure projects.
• Lead and mentor junior team members.
• Troubleshoot and resolve LAN / WAN connectivity and performance issues.
• Ensure compliance with security hardening standards (CIS, NIST SP 80053 Rev. 5, DISA STIGs).
