Job Description :
The Neuromodulation Technician is an integral member of the Wolk Center practice team, and collaborates with other multidisciplinary members to meet the clinical needs of the patients. Under the direction of the Administrative Director, the Neuromodulation Technician is responsible for provide various clinical treatment of neuromodulation for patients, including TMS (Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation) and tDCS (transcranial Direct Current Stimulation). The Neuromodulation Technician will demonstrate a strong commitment to the philosophy and goals of the mission of Hebrew SeniorLife. S / he will work with the team to meet all needs of the patients and will strive to make every encounter with a patient a positive and meaningful experience and opportunity, while providing safe and efficient quality of care.
II. Position Responsibilities :
Provide excellent patient care and treat patients with compassion. Provide support, reflective listening, and compassion to patients struggling with depression, anxiety, and cognitive concerns. Administer TMS or tDCS treatments according to specific physician protocols. Set up the TMS or tDCS medical device and monitor all aspects of the treatment sessions for patient comfort and treatment accuracy. Troubleshoot and resolve issues with coil contact and system setup throughout treatment while maintaining patient comfort. Administer psychiatric and neuropsychological rating scales. Support the Patient Care Coordinator / Office team as needed. Perform various tasks related to administrative tasks, patient care, and TMS or tDCS treatment. Perform various duties related to general medical office tasks and projects including, phones, messages, prior authorizations, insurance benefits inquiries. Supports providers during and between exams as directed. Assists clinicians with procedures or other patient care follow-up as appropriate Documents pertinent information regarding care delivered in appropriate area of electronic medical records Serves as communication and information resource for patients / families on the phone and in person in the office. Maintain excellent "customer" service with patients, families, clinicians and all co-workers. Protect patient confidentiality by promoting professional staff communication according to HIPPA standards. Serves as back up to office staff as directed, using appropriate practice management systems to schedule appointments, update demographics, manage busy phone line and triage all incoming patient requests and requests from others - including family members Establishes and maintains relationships with other departments and individuals who are important to the overall success of the Wolk Center clinic. Ensure all regulatory standards are being met that are required for the successful facilitation of the Wolk Center (ie : regulating temperature for the refrigerator, maintaining appropriate daily logs / etc.) Adhere to established policies, procedures and objectives. Complete special projects as assigned. Exemplify professionalism and exhibit values that contribute to the achievement of the mission of Hebrew SeniorLife.
