Healthcare Customer Service Collections Self-Pay

As a Healthcare Customer Service Collections Self-Pay, you will make an impact by assisting our clients' customers with their outstanding balance accounts to secure payment while providing exceptional customer service and maintaining positive customer relationships. You will be a valued member of the Cognizant team and work collaboratively with stakeholders and other teams.

In this role, you will :

• Handle inbound calls as a representative of the hospital to arrange debt repayment based on the patient's financial situation and client repayment guidelines, using credit card, check, or obtained insurance. Record all updates and acquired information on accounts.
• Understand and utilize HIPAA and TCPA guidelines during each call.
• Ensure all required statements have been sent for accounts handled and request statements as necessary.
• Properly manage patient disputes by obtaining all pertinent information, noting the dispute on the account, and escalating to a supervisor as necessary.
• Assist in making outbound calls when required.
• Perform other activities and responsibilities as assigned.

Salary and Other Compensation :

Applications will be accepted until November 28th, 2025. The hourly salary for this position is between $16.00 - $19.00 depending on the experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate. This position is also eligible for Cognizant's discretionary annual incentive program and stock awards, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant's applicable plans.
