Job Description

Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA) degree, active Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) license, and 1+ years Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A contract position is available for a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to provide specialized support within a K-12 educational setting. This role focuses on assisting students with occupational therapy interventions aimed at enhancing their functional skills and supporting their academic progress throughout the school year.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Deliver occupational therapy services to students under the supervision of a licensed occupational therapist.
  • Implement individualized treatment plans tailored to students needs to improve their fine motor skills, sensory processing, and daily living activities.
  • Collaborate closely with teachers, therapists, and school staff to integrate therapy goals into the classroom environment.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and progress reports in pliance with school policies and regulatory standards.
  • Participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings and contribute relevant insights to support student development.
  • Qualifications and Experience :

  • Current certification as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) is required.
  • Experience working within K-12 school environments is strongly preferred.
  • Knowledge of pediatric occupational therapy practices and school-based interventions.
  • Strong munication skills to effectively collaborate with students, families, and educational professionals.
  • Ability to manage caseloads and adapt therapy techniques to meet diverse student needs.
