About Pendleton Juvenile Correctional Facility :
As a part of the Indiana Department of Correction, the Pendleton Juvenile Correctional Facility (PNJCF) promotes public safety by providing meaningful, effective opportunities for successful re-entry. The Pendleton Juvenile Correctional Facility is a maximum security Correctional facility for juvenile males. Pendleton Juvenile Correctional Facility is located in Pendleton, Indiana. The Pendleton Juvenile Correctional facility is a campus-like structure, consisting of housing units, medical, food, and laundry services. The Programs building accommodates Providence Jr. / Sr. High School, indoor recreational facilities, and a chapel. There are outdoor recreational areas within the fenced perimeter, including baseball diamonds, volleyball courts, basketball courts, and a quarter-mile walking running track. Additionally, the facility includes a housing area for special management and behaviorally challenged youths.
Role Overview
As a Correctional Training Officer, you will oversee a team of training officers for staff in a correctional facility. During a typical day, you will be responsible for ensuring the scheduling of classes, assignment of instructors, and overseeing the security of the training center. As a department head, you will report directly to the Deputy Warden of Operations. This role supports a vital aspect of the facility. In this role, you will have a direct impact on ensuring staff know how to perform their duties in a safe and professional manner. You will also be working directly with new hires with the ability to directly influence their knowledge and help the facility leadership to promote a positive and supportive work culture.
Salary for this position traditionally starts at $42,900.00 but may be commensurate with education or work experience.
