About the Role
The Company is in search of a General Manager / Chief Operating Officer (GM / COO) to lead and enhance the services, programming, and member experiences within its residential community. The successful candidate will be a seasoned professional with a strong background in financial management, adept leadership, and a focus on mentoring departmental heads. This role requires an individual who is an excellent communicator, proactive, and visible, with a hands-on approach to cultivating strong connections with both staff and members. The GM / COO will be responsible for all aspects of the homeowner's association operations, including security, residential services, and community relations, and must be committed to challenging conventional practices.
Candidates for the GM / COO position at the company should ideally have a minimum of 7-10 years' of progressive leadership experience, preferably within a private member-owned country club or a similar dynamic, progressive operation. The role demands a leader who is a true professional, capable of inspiring and motivating others, and who has a history of treating all stakeholders with respect. Key qualifications include a strong background in financial planning, innovation, and service culture development, as well as the ability to manage complex capital improvement projects. The ideal candidate will be a diplomatic, competent, and transparent leader, with a proactive approach to governance and a strong network of industry professional relationships. A bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management is preferred, and industry certifications such as CCM or CCE are encouraged.
