Truss Designer   / EWP Drafter

Seeking a skilled EWP Drafter / Truss Designer to join a growing team supporting engineered wood products and truss projects for internal and external customers.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Produce design / drafting packages for Engineered Wood Products (EWP) and / or truss applications used for customer quotes, take-offs, and manufacturing.
• Prepare working drawings, sketches, and graphs from blueprints, sketches, sales orders, and verbal / written instructions using CAD and related tools.
• Prioritize and coordinate work to meet expedited / special requests; provide plans for customer sign-off and manage revisions.
• Code and maintain drafting files for accurate retrieval and distribution to engineering, vendors, and facility teams.
• Schedule truss and EWP deliveries and, as needed, provide technical consulting to distribution center customers.
• Compile placement plans that convert conventional framing to BCI® joists via computer-aided systems.
• Make occasional outside calls to lumberyards / job sites; may initiate telephone sales for EWP accessories (e.g., hangers).
• Demonstrate strong commitment to safety, quality, environmental awareness, and continuous improvement; other duties as assigned.
