Data Analyst-Sustainability

Our fast-growing San Francisco / Bay Area based client is in need of a Data Analyst focused on Sustainability. This is a hybrid, contract role, requiring on-site 3 days a week in Foster City.

Responsibilities :

Support the development and maintenance of the annual Greenhouse Gas (GHG) Inventory, ensuring compliance with relevant GHG Protocol standards and utilizing robust data collection and modeling methodologies.

Perform data analysis to identify and prioritize GHG reduction initiatives.

Lead the data-driven execution of key GHG reduction initiatives, tracking progress towards Climate Pledge goal and GHG Reduction strategy through rigorous analytics.

Provide data expertise and analytical support to cross-functional teams in the development and execution of sustainability programs.

Design and optimize sustainability information system and processes, focusing on efficient data collection, integration, and reporting.

Collaborate with key suppliers to collect and analyze Scope 3 emissions data, supporting the pursuit of emission reduction initiatives.

Requirements :

Bachelor s degree in engineering, business, environmental studies, or equivalent, with a strong emphasis on data analytics, statistics, or a related quantitative field.

4-6 years of overall experience and 3+ years of experience in a sustainability-focused role, with demonstrated expertise in data analysis and interpretation.

Technical abilities around organizing and analyzing data including strong Microsoft Excel skills

Experience driving programs through data-driven insights and reporting.

Demonstrated ability to leverage data to inform decisions.

Open-minded self-starter with the ability to adapt, improvise, and problem-solve using analytical approaches.

Ability to work independently on multiple tasks and projects with various stakeholders, including data collection and analysis.

Bonus :

Experience driving sustainability strategy and related programs

Experience with GHG Protocol standards and GHG accounting methodologies
