Supply Chain Manager

The Supply Chain Manager is a key member of the site's Leadership Team and is responsible for overseeing the entire supply chain process at the plant, from purchasing raw materials to production planning and control, and delivery of finished products. This position leads and drives the deployment of strategic initiatives to manage the flow of materials across the value streams of the plant and ensures it runs smoothly and efficiently.
Key responsibilities include :
- Safety : Drives and maintains a safe working environment through diligence in accident prevention, equipment maintenance, and policy enforcement and compliance.
- Strategic Planning : Develop and implement strategic initiatives to optimize the supply chain, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
- Procurement : Manage and oversee the procurement of all goods, supplies, and services to support the production cycle time requirements of the plant.
- Sourcing : Identify, evaluate, and manage relationships with suppliers and collaborates with the corporate Strategic Sourcing team in the negotiation of contracts, terms, and agreements to secure cost-effective and high-quality materials.
- Inventory Control : Develop and manage automated information systems to plan, monitor, and coordinate on-going inventory levels to provide maximum support for the production needs of the plant.
- Sales, Inventory and Operations Planning (SIOP) : The Supply Chain Manager is in charge of scheduling and planning, including demand forecasting and production planning, to guarantee the timely and effective flow of resources and goods.
- Logistics and Distribution : Manage transportation, warehousing, and distribution activities for the plant and collaborate with the corporate Transportation and Logistics teams to ensure timely and efficient delivery of materials to the plant and finished products to customers.
- Risk Management : Conduct quality checks on electrical designs to ensure accuracy and reliability. Identify potential risks within the supply chain and develop contingency plans to mitigate disruptions.
- Continuous Improvement : Apply Lean and Six Sigma concepts to design and improve the performance of the supply chain function and drive operational excellence at the site.
- Team Leadership : Supervise and mentor a team of supply chain professionals and drive the company's vision, mission, values, and compliance to the Code of Business Conduct.
Required Education & Experience :
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or related field.5+ years Supply Chain Management experience.3+ years experience in the manufacturing industry.Familiarity with ERP systems (SAP preferred).Travel : Up to 10%. Occasional travel may be needed (supplier visits, industry conferences, training, etc.).
Physical Requirements / Working Conditions : Ability to work in an office and manufacturing environment, including occasional visits to the production floor, shipping / receiving docks, warehouse facilities, and 3PL warehouse facilities.
