Schedule Details :

Nights

8 and 12-hr shifts

Every third weekend rotation and holiday rotation.

Incentives :

$15,000 Sign-On Bonus for 3rd Shift.

Unit Overview : Join our 24-bed Neurosurgical Unit to provide care to a diverse and complex patient population, including :

Post-operative craniotomies for bleed evacuation, AVMs, and tumor resections.

Cervical, thoracic, and lumbar spine surgeries.

Caring for hemorrhagic and ischemic stroke patients as part of our Comprehensive Stroke Program .

High volume of cervical and spinal surgery patients, alongside medical overflow cases .

This role provides exposure to innovative neurosurgical techniques and cutting-edge care as part of the Aurora Neuroscience Innovation Institute (ANII) .

Deliver and coordinate evidence-based patient care using the nursing process.

Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure safe and compassionate care.

Utilize clinical judgment and critical thinking for optimal patient outcomes.

Major Responsibilities :

Assess patient needs, implement individualized interventions, and evaluate care effectiveness.

Licensure, Registration, and Certification :

Registered Nurse license issued by the state of practice.

Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA).

Education and Experience :

Completion of an accredited nursing program.

Typically requires 1 year of clinical nursing experience.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities :

Proficient computer skills and experience with electronic medical records.

Strong communication, listening, and interpersonal skills.

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions :

Ability to sit, stand, walk, lift, and bend frequently throughout the workday.

Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs, carry up to 40 lbs, and perform various physical tasks safely.

May be exposed to hazardous materials and bodily fluids, requiring the use of personal protective equipment.

Functional speech, vision, hearing, and touch are necessary for effective patient care.
