Registered Nurse (RN) - Acute Care, Family Birthplace, Part-Time, Night Shift

We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Acute Care team in the Family Birthplace department. In this role, you'll provide clinical direction and patient-centered care in an acute inpatient setting, ensuring the highest quality of nursing practices and safety standards.

Job Summary

As an RN, you will demonstrate clinical competency and utilize evidence-based practices throughout the nursing process : assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation, and outcomes. You will prioritize patient and family needs, adhere to compliance and policies, and maintain an environment that promotes patient safety. This position may require weekend, holiday, and on-call work.

Essential Functions

• Conduct thorough patient assessments, documenting changes in status and recognizing intervention responses.
• Develop and collaborate on patient care plans with families and the healthcare team, including updates based on patient condition.
• Set realistic, measurable goals for patients that ease post-discharge transitions.
• Respect patients' and families' cultural, spiritual, and belief systems in all care planning.
• Manage discharge planning to ensure continuity of care and appropriate referrals.
• Deliver direct care in alignment with established nursing protocols.
• Delegate nursing tasks appropriately and ensure follow-up on performance.
• Monitor and uphold the quality of care, ensuring a safe and resource-efficient environment.
• Evaluate nursing practices against established guidelines, stay current with professional development, and maintain licensure.
• Advocate for your patients and coordinate care effectively among team members.
• Complete additional duties as assigned.
