PURPOSE
Performs a wide variety of complex clerical and office duties to support the functions of the Special Services office; performs related work as required.
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES
This is an advanced administrative support position with the primary function of providing secretarial and administrative support services to District staff. Duties may include typing and preparing letters or documents using various software applications, entering and maintaining data pertaining to special education, keeping clerical records, logs, spreadsheets, update and maintain spreadsheets of all special education staff. The work is performed under the supervision of the Special Education Director.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
Essential Duties and Responsibilities :
- Compose and type letters, reports or other documents
- Prepare spreadsheets to track and log specific data
- Conduct and complete special projects as assigned
- Answering phone calls, providing referrals to other departments or staff as needed
- Operate standard and specialized office equipment
- Maintain spreadsheets of current special education staff
- Track and monitor funding sources for all special education staff
- Monitor and reconcile credit card statements
- Gather and compile data for Idaho State Dept. of Education reports
- Process approved requisitions for either a purchase order or credit card purchases
- Process budget transfers for special education funded accounts
- Obtain electronic signatures semi-annually from all staff paid from federal special education funds
- Gather documentation quarterly to invoice other area school districts for services provided to their students per contractual agreements
- Perform all work duties and activities in accordance with District policies, procedures and safety practices.

High school diploma or GED equivalency; andAt least three (3) years of office experience, preferably with special education policies, procedures, and practices; orAny equivalent combination of experience and training which provides the knowledge and abilities necessary to perform the work.ESSENTIAL PHYSICAL ABILITIES
