Senior Network Engineer

Overview

Hudson Valley Credit Union is currently recruiting for the position of Senior Network Engineer. Primary Functions : Design, implement, and maintain our enterprise network infrastructure. Ensure high availability, security, and performance across all network systems. Lead network initiatives, mentor junior engineers, and collaborate across departments to support business goals.

Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, and manage LAN, WAN, WLAN, and cloud-based networks
• Configure and maintain routers, switches, firewalls, VPNs, and load balancers
• Monitor network performance and troubleshoot complex issues
• Implement and enforce network security protocols and disaster recovery plans
• Lead network upgrades, migrations, and capacity planning
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support infrastructure projects
• Document network architecture, configurations, and procedures
• Mentor junior engineers and provide escalation support
• Stay current with emerging technologies and recommend improvements
• Participate in Credit Union teams, projects and strategic initiatives when the opportunity arises and perform additional duties and special projects as assigned

• Adhere to all Credit Union policies, procedures, and regulatory agency requirements. Participate in all required and recommended training and development including, but not limited to, Bank Secrecy Act training (BSA) and demonstrate attained knowledge. Participate on Credit Union teams, projects and strategic initiatives when the opportunity arises. Perform additional duties and special projects as assigned.
