Deliver professional nursing care to pediatric patients under physician guidance. This role involves mentoring and training new staff and students while performing nursing duties within the scope defined by licensing boards. Demonstrate expertise in patient care by adhering to unit competencies, policies, and procedures.
Key Responsibilities :
Education : Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
Licensure & Certifications : Current Registered Nurse license in a compact state required. BLS / CPR certification required within 30 days of hire or by orientation end. Additional certifications such as ACLS, PALS, NRP, TNCC, NIHSS, or AWHONN may be required depending on department policy.
Experience : Previous experience in a similar pediatric nursing environment is preferred.
Skills & Abilities : Strong communication skills, ability to multitask and prioritize, basic computer proficiency, and application of nursing principles.
Physical Requirements : May involve heavy work occasionally exerting up to 100 lbs and frequent standing or walking (51-75% of the day). Accommodations available as needed.
