Job description

We are recruiting a physiatrist to join our thriving health system that is regarded as one of the best in the region, located in central Virginia. You will be able to experience a supportive and collaborative work culture within PM&R and other departments, while having access to resources for research and clinical collaboration. Job Responsibilities

  • Seeking a general or neuro focused Physician to join our large clinical and academic team.
  • Primarily focused on inpatient care with some outpatient clinic work.
  • Build beyond current patient volumes with dedicated support.
  • Develop your own niche areas of interest (i.e., EMG or Neuromuscular)

Qualifications

  • Board Eligible or Board Certification required.
  • Passion for providing excellent patient care with teaching and research opportunities.

    • Working Hours

  • Work Schedule : 5 days / week, with 2 half days of outpatient clinic.
  • Call Schedule : Very light -4-5 weekends per year, shared among a large team, with resident coverage 24 / 7.
  • Academic protected time

    • Skills

  • Clinical expertise in PM&R with a focus on neurological conditions.
  • Interdisciplinary collaboration and strong communication.
  • Diagnostic proficiency as it relates to EMG, nerve conduction, etc.
  • Brain injury specialist would be highly desired, with a focus on building a strong TBI program.
