Description :

General Job duties. Types of procedures required :

Flex Rn Floats between various medical and surgical units

Equipment utilized in the unit / dept :

Meditech EMR; pyxis; wound vac; chest tubes.

Required skills and minimum years of experience :

2-10 years’ experience

Specific licensures and certifications / registrations required :

BLS, ACLS (Preferred : PALS, Procedural Sedation, TNCC, ENPC)

Floating to other units / departments :

Medical Unit; Laulima Unit; Cardiovascular Unit (on rare occasions)

Bed size / number of rooms for this unit / dept :

Medical - 77; Laulima (surgical Acute) - 18; Cardiovascular Unit - 15

Nurse to patient ratio of this unit :

Medical 1 : 6 for days and eves, 1 : 8 for nights

Laulima 1 : 6

Cardiovascular 1 : 4
