The compensation offered to the candidate selected for the position will depend on several factors, including the candidate's educational background, skills and professional experience.

Job Overview :

The Medication History Technician (MHT) shall participate in conducting structured patient / caregiver interviews, reviewing the documented external prescription history, and contacting outpatient pharmacies to obtain accurate medication histories. This shall happen once the patient is admitted or prior to admission, as directed.

The MHT will assist in the provision of pharmaceutical services under the direct supervision of the Registered Pharmacist by performing the technical and clerical duties involved in all medications, pharmaceutical products, and services for all adult patients. Work and / or performance shall conform to written established hospital policies and procedures.

Qualifications : Required :

• Graduate of an accredited training program or two years of experience.
• Registered by the New Jersey Board of Pharmacy.
• Required PTCB Certification and obtaining of Medication History Certification within 1 year of employment.
