Certified Nursing Assistant

We are actively seeking dedicated Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) to join our team of compassionate professionals who share a passion for delivering exceptional care in Assisted Living and Memory Care. Under the direction of the Nurse Partner (RN / LPN) and Team Leader (Director of Wellness), the CNA provides direct care and services to support our residents' daily needs and overall well-being. All Care Partner tasks are performed in accordance with current standards, guidelines, and regulations, and in a safe and efficient manner. Personally responsible and held accountable for following FellowshipLIFE's mission, values, and Fellowship Spirit culture, while maintaining and living out our philosophy of person-directed care.

CORE FUNCTIONS

• Attends to all resident personal hygiene and care needs, including but not limited to grooming, dining and nutrition, mobility, elimination, psychosocial and safety needs.
• Supports residents in self-care and provides assistance as necessary for those unable to provide for their own needs.
• Assist in the dining room during all meals. Provide tray service to residents who may be unable to attend the dining room.
• Assists with adaptive equipment / techniques and special care needs within the scope of training.
• Assist and safely transfer residents as needed from bed to chair as well as assisting with ambulation as required.
• Weigh residents on admission and then daily, weekly and monthly as requested by the nurse or indicated in care plan.
• Assists with the comfort and care of residents with special considerations for the very ill or dying residents; ensures a private and calm environment for the family; provides supportive care to the roommate; provides post-mortem care with dignity and respect.
• Reports changes in condition or function and unusual incidents or accidents to nurse; documents as necessary.
• Receives report from previous shift; provides report to oncoming shift.
• Assures that all work areas, including resident suites, are kept clean, free of clutter, and are adequately stocked.
• Distribute linens and towels. Make up and turn down bed daily and ensure linens are clean and dry.
• Supports the Household housekeeper in maintaining a clean, safe environment and in caring for the residents' personal laundry.
• Supports all aspects of the Household environment, including pets, plants, and guests, facilitating all planned and spontaneous needs and activities.
• Follows universal precautions, proper infection control, sanitation, and safety standards of practice in all work and activities.
• Responds quickly and empathically to all residents' requests for assistance and care.
• Observes residents closely, identifying changing needs and conditions at first indication, and reports immediately to nursing or neighborhood leadership as appropriate
• Works with all Household team members, led by resident and family preference and Daily Pleasures to meet the needs and desires of all residents
• Continually seeks opportunities to meet residents' psychosocial needs through both care planned and spontaneous actions
