Job Description

You will be responsible for the design, development, testing, and support of firmware / embedded software for next-generation functional safety IO in accordance with engineering best practices / processes, and in partnership with team members across the globe. You will also need to possess working knowledge of creation and debugging of embedded / software applications. You will participate in or conduct technical reviews with peers to identify problems early in the development phases and will also need to demonstrate the ability to consistently meet project deliverables on time, and to work effectively in a diverse team environment.

Job Requirements

• Degree / Master in Computer Science / Embedded Systems / Computer Engineering / Electrical Electronic Engineering with concentration in the areas of Embedded Software engineering
• Min 5 years relevant experience in developing Real Time Embedded Systems. Candidates with more years of experience can be considered for Staff position.
• Strong knowledge in programming language : C
• Experience in industrial control systems is a great advantage
• Experience with programming 32 bits Microcontroller (ARM is preferred) and developing low level device driver
• Experience with functional safety product development is a great advantage.
• Experience with development in one or more of the following areas for embedded system : RTOS (e.g., VxWorks, ThreadX), communication protocols (Ethernet / USB / WIFI, CAN / Profibus), automated unit testing, hardware debugging tools
• Good analysis skills and proven ability to solve complex problems
• Familiarity with Agile processes, static analysis tools, and version control tools (e.g., Git) is an advantage
• Good communication and interpersonal skills, ability to work independently and in a multicultural team
• Open-mindedness, willingness to experiment, and a creative approach to problem-solving
• Functional safety (IEC61508) experience is beneficial

What We Offer

Rockwell Automation’s hybrid policy expects employees to work at least Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays at a Rockwell location unless out of office for business reasons.
