Job description

Under the direct supervision of the Facility Maintenance & Welding Shop Supervisor or Real Estate & Facility Operations Manager, be proficient in the following disciplines : electric arc, MIG, TIG, or oxyacetylene equipment in fusing or brazing ferrous and non-ferrous metals or non-aircraft applications. Perform simple clerical duties necessary in the completion of job-related paperwork.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Fabricate support equipment such as but not limited to work stands, work aids, carts, etc.
  • Repair fuel tanks and fuel systems
  • Perform other duties such as loading and unloading supplies
  • Read & understand approved drawings
  • Perform clerical work involved in preparing job related documentation
  • Responsible for supporting company Safety Management System
  • Comply with HSEQ policies and procedures
  • All other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

  • High school diploma
  • 3 plus years of fabricating / welding experience
  • Knowledge, Skill & Ability with Electric Arc, MIG, TIG, and Oxyacetylene welding tasks
  • Knowledge, Skill & Ability with fabricating equipment from approved drawings
  • Basic computer experience
  • PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS

    PHYSICAL DEMANDS :

    While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; use hands to finger, handle or feel, and talk or hear. The employee is regularly required reach with hands and arms; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee is frequently required to walk. The employee is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance; and talk or hear. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to lift and / or move up to 10 pounds. The employee is frequently required to lift and / or move up to 25 pounds; and is occasionally required to lift and / or move up to 60 pounds. The special vision required to perform this job are close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

    WORK ENVIRONMENT :

    While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to work near moving mechanical parts, and fumes or airborne particles. The employee is occasionally exposed to work in high, precarious places, outdoor weather conditions, extreme heat (non-weather), risk of electrical shock, and vibration. The employee is exposed to a loud noise level in the work environment.
