Nights, with 8 and 12-hour shifts.Every third weekend rotation.Holiday rotation.Incentives :

Unit Overview :
Join our 24-bed Neurosurgical Unit , caring for a complex patient population, including :
Post-operative craniotomies for bleed evacuation, AVMs, and tumor resections.Cervical, thoracic, and lumbar spine surgeries.Patients with hemorrhagic and ischemic strokes, as part of our Comprehensive Stroke Program.A high volume of cervical and spinal surgery patients, alongside medical overflow cases.As part of the Aurora Neuroscience Innovation Institute (ANII) , you will gain exposure to cutting-edge neurosurgical techniques and care.

Utilize the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care, involving the patient and family.Recognize and respond to significant patient condition changes proactively.Implement strategies to enhance patient safety and teach readiness for learning.Coordinate discharge plans using an interdisciplinary approach.Engage in ongoing evaluation of patient and unit outcomes to initiate necessary changes.Support collaborative communication, delegation, and leadership among team members.Foster a culture of safety by identifying potential threats and intervening as necessary.Participate in quality improvement initiatives for optimal patient care.Engage in professional development opportunities to enhance personal and team growth.Demonstrate knowledge of age-specific care principles.Licensure, Registration, and / or Certification Required :
Current Registered Nurse license issued by the state.Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA).Education Required :
Completion of an accredited or approved program in Nursing.Experience Required :
Usually requires 1 year of clinical nursing experience.Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required :
