The Chief of Staff - Vice President of Research Services is a strategic research leader, with experience in qualitative and quantitative methodologies, a strong background in multi-client market research, and a proven ability to lead high-performing teams while navigating Hawaii's unique business environment.

Position Overview

Hawaii's leading integrated marketing and communications firm seeks a strategic and experienced Chief of Staff - Vice President of Research Services to oversee the design and execution of qualitative and quantitative research programs. This leadership role guides a 10-person team, including a call center. It is central to delivering actionable insights for a diverse range of clients while driving operational excellence, business development, and staff growth. The ideal candidate brings expertise in research operations, client engagement, and a deep understanding of Hawaii's business landscape.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and mentor a team of research professionals and call center staff
  • Manage research project lifecycles, from proposal through delivery, across qualitative and quantitative studies
  • Serve as primary client contact for research engagements across government, nonprofit, and commercial sectors
  • Oversee proposal development, budgets, and timelines
  • Moderate focus groups and provide strategic counsel on research design
  • Collaborate across internal departments to strengthen integration and service offerings
  • Support new business development and account growth initiatives
